The Ginger Man Space in Downtown Boston Is for Lease
A restaurant in downtown Boston that has been known in part for its comfort food and craft beer may be closed permanently, as its space is now on the market.
According to a tweet and photo from @ConciergeBoston, The Ginger Man space on State Street in the Financial District is for lease, confirming what we heard from a couple of sources over the past several weeks who said the dining and drinking spot might be shuttered for good. A check on the place indicates that their Instagram page is down while their website says “temporarily closed,” and their Facebook and Twitter pages have not been updated since 2020 and 2019, respectively.
The Boston location of The Ginger Man first opened in 2016, joining its original location in New York City that now appears to be closed as well. Both locations offered soups, salads, sandwiches, appetizers and snacks, and sausage platters along with an extensive list of beers, while wine, spirits, and cocktails were served as well.
The address for The Ginger Man in downtown Boston was 148 State Street, Boston, MA, 02109.
