Boston Winter Outdoor Dining Guide: Heated Patios, Igloos, Yurts, More
Planning to dine outside throughout the winter, snow or not? Many Boston-area restaurants are looking to welcome diners to heated patios year-round, and some even offer private igloos, yurts, and greenhouses that small groups can reserve.
Below, find 30 outdoor winter dining options in and around Boston. Note that while these options are heated, most restaurants still encourage diners to dress warmly — being inside a heated yurt on a very cold night isn’t quite the same as being inside a heated building — and some of these still close in case of extreme weather (or staff shortages and other COVID-related challenges). It’s best to check with a restaurant directly before heading over, and most of these require or at least encourage reservations.
Health experts consider dining out to be a high-risk activity for the unvaccinated; it may pose a risk for the vaccinated, especially in areas with substantial COVID transmission.
