It’s not the year for the Patriots this time around, but for those tuning into the Super Bowl anyway on February 13, 2022, plenty of Boston bars and restaurants will be ready and waiting with beer, wings, and televisions.
Here are 17 of the best sports bars in and around the city at which to watch the Super Bowl this year — not to mention baseball, hockey, and plenty of other sports year-round. While visiting these spots, pour one out for all the classic local sports bars lost over the course of the pandemic, including McGreevy’s, Lir, the Kinsale, and the Boston location of the Fours.
Health experts consider dining out to be a high-risk activity for the unvaccinated; it may pose a risk for the vaccinated, especially in areas with substantial COVID transmission. Note that as of January 15, 2022, restaurants in the city of Boston are required to check for proof of vaccination for customers dining indoors.
