Jiyoon says, “My parents are immigrants from Korea, so I moved to the states when I was nine years old, and the US became our new home. In 2008, when I was a senior in high school, my family opened our first Bean & Bean location in downtown Manhattan, right next to Trinity Church and the Financial District. It’s funny because that was on the brink of the financial crisis and my parents had no idea.”
