New Bedford Police Department charge 28-year old Canton man with cocaine trafficking – New Bedford Guide
“On March 21, at approximately 9 p.m. a Trooper was traveling on Acushnet Ave in New Bedford. At that time he stopped an Infiniti sedan after observing that it had no inspection sticker.
After stopping the vehicle the Trooper discovered that the operator, DUANE JOHNSON, 28, of Canton, had a suspended driver’s license. JOHNSON was placed under arrest and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
While conducting an inventory of the vehicle’s contents Troopers located a large amount of cash along with approximately 32 grams of a substance suspected to be crack cocaine.
JOHNSON was transported to the Dartmouth Barracks and was booked for Trafficking Cocaine, Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License, and other motor vehicle offenses.” -New Bedford Police Department.
