NORTHAMPTON — A tractor trailer struck the Main Street railroad bridge in downtown Northampton Saturday morning around 8 a.m., according to police. Police said the incident caused traffic to be detoured for almost an hour. The truck was towed away and the Massachusetts State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section also assisted at the scene, Northampton Police reported on its Facebook page.
