East Bridgewater police officer arrested for allegedly driving drunk in Raynham

RAYNHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — The Raynham Police Department announced that a 50-year-old man was arrested and charged for drunk driving on Tuesday.
Raynham police said Thomas Flint, 50, of Bridgewater, is charged with OUI liquor, negligent driving, marked lanes violation and speeding after his arrest on November 18.
According to officials, at approximately 11:20 p.m. that night, an officer observed a black SUV driving erratically at the intersection of Orchard, North Main, South Main and Pleasant Streets.
The officer followed the SUV and observed it pass two cars at a high rate of speed, police said. The officer stopped the SUV shortly after.
During the stop, the Raynham officer determined Flint was intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and his SUV was towed.
According to the East Bridgewater Police Department, one of their officers, identified as Sergeant Thomas Flint was placed on leave on Saturday, Nov. 18, after his arrest following an off-duty incident in another community.
The department said he will remain on leave pending the results of an internal investigation and court proceedings.
