Southwick budget panel warns of ‘hard decisions’ with no hikes in spending

SOUTHWICK — Over the past several months, Finance Committee Chair Joseph Deedy has been warning residents that “hard decisions” might be necessary to balance the town’s fiscal 2025 budget.
Last week, committee members decided to suggest to the town’s administration that all department heads build a budget for their department that is level-funded for fiscal 2025.
“Our thought process is for level funding … we just want to get that out there,” Deedy said.
