Tom Brady shook off his regret over his recent Netflix roast, while watching his Las Vegas Aces team beat the Phoenix Mercury on Tuesday.

The retired NFL quarterback, 46, cheered the team on to victory during their opening game of the new WNBA season in Vegas, with a final score of 89-80.

Tom bought a minority stake in the Aces from the team’s majority owner Mark Davis, 68, in March, making the victory a special one for him.

The former athlete looked dapper for the occasion, sporting a crisp black suit and white button up as he stood clapping for the team.

It comes after Brady expressed regrets about participating in the Netflix roast, which had plenty of brutal jokes about divorce from Gisele Bundchen, 43, as he shared that it ‘affected’ his three kids.

Brady was in Sin City on Tuesday, as players received their title rings for the second consecutive time before winning the game.

The father-of-three sat next to Davis and WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert, who greeted coach Becky Hammon and the players when they were introduced to the crowd. Raiders coach Antonio Pierce was also at the game.

This season, the Aces are hoping to be the first team since the Houston Comets in 1997-2000 to win at least three WNBA titles in a row and the second club to ever accomplish that feat.

Las Vegas became the first team since the Los Angeles Sparks in 2001-02 to repeat when the Aces beat the New York Liberty in four games last year.

Brady, who’s also a minority owner of Birmingham City, witnessed the Aces debuting their new silver and black uniforms, more closely mirroring the unis of Davis’ other Las Vegas team, the Raiders.

It comes after Brady discussed how his Netflix roast negatively affected his kids.

The former Patriots star was roasted by a number of high-profile figures – including stand-up comedians, celebrities and ex-teammates – in a live Netflix show earlier this month.

A lot of the ruthless material contained jokes about his divorce from Gisele, after 13 years of marriage, which he has admitted didn’t go down too well back at home.

The seven-time Super Bowl winner shares Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11, with the Brazilian supermodel. Brady also shares firstborn son Jack, 16, with ex Bridget Moynahan, 53.

Brady revealed that some of the quips ‘affected’ his kids during an episode of ‘The Pivot‘ with Fred Taylor, Ryan Clark and Channing Crowder.

‘I loved when the jokes were about me. I thought they were so fun,’ he said. ‘I didn’t like the way they affected my kids.’

‘It was the bittersweet aspect of when you’re doing something you think is one way and then you realize I wouldn’t do that again because of the way it affected the people I care about the most in the world.’

‘It makes you in some ways a better parent going through it because sometimes you’re naïve.’

The former quarterback’s children weren’t the only ones upset with the roast with Bundchen said to be furious about being the source of the relentless taunting.

According to People, Bundchen was left fuming at the jokes about her and Brady’s former marriage during the special, saying she ‘was deeply disappointed by the disrespectful portrayal of her family on Sunday evening’s roast show’.

‘As always, [Bundchen’s] priority is to support her children who were affected by the irresponsible content that was broadcasted,’ the insider went on.

Bundchen is said to be less than impressed about her divorce with Brady, and her subsequent new relationship with jiu jitsu trainer Joaquim Valente, being used as the butt of jokes.

One shock quip saw comedian Nikki Glaser referencing Valente’s martial arts prowess, saying: ‘How much would it suck for Tom… omg, just knowing your ex-wife’s new boyfriend could beat your a** while eating hers.’

Brady’s former teammate Drew Bledsoe, who weathered his fair share of digs about the quarterback replacing him in New England, also took aim at the divorce.

‘Obviously buddy, you got really used to not being touched,’ Bledsoe said when referencing Brady’s football career.

He then added: ‘Just like the end of the marriage.’

The joke drew a huge gasp from the audience at Kia Forum as an awkward Brady raised his eyebrows and took swigs of two different drinks.

Kevin Hart, who opened the roast, also piled on Brady and Bundchen’s breakup, saying: ‘You sometimes got to f*** your coach,’ the actor said. ‘You know who else f***ed their coach? Gisele. She f***ed that karate man.’

Brady and Bundchen divorced on October 28, 2022, after 13 years of marriage.

His ex Moynahan also shared several cryptic social media messages after Brady was roasted for infamously dumping her while she was pregnant with Jack.

‘Loyal people take s**t more personal because they never would’ve did that s**t to you,’ one quote read. She added, ‘so true,’ in the caption.

Glaser obliterated the former Patriots quarterback for breaking up with the actress in 2006.

‘Tom, you’re the best to ever play for too long, you retired then came back then retired, I get it. It’s hard to walk away from something that isn’t your pregnant girlfriend,’ Glaser joked.

‘To be fair, he didn’t know. He just thought she was getting fat.’

Although jokes about Brady’s kids were off-limit, a source told Page Six that Bundchen was still ‘deeply disappointed by the disrespectful portrayal of her family.’

Others who roasted the NFL legend on Sunday were host Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Randy Moss and Kim Kardashian.
