Man arrested in connection with bomb threat at Mass. Walmart

A man was arrested after a Walmart Supercenter in Ware was evacuated for reports of a bomb threat around 4 p.m., Sunday, June 9, according to Ware Police Department.

Walmart management at 352 Palmer Road contacted the Ware Police Department stating a customer made a statement “alluding to a bomb threat to the building,” according to a release.

The store was evacuated and reopened about two hours after the threat was made.

Ware Police identified Anthony Quinn as the suspect and he was arrested.

The Massachusetts State Police, Ware Fire Department, West Brookfield Police Department, Hardwick Police Department and Palmer Police Department assisted in responding to the incident.

The Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad, its K9 unit and the UMass K9 unit cleared the building.
