WE STILL HAVE THIS UPPER LEVEL LOW KIND OF HANGING AROUND. NOT JUST TODAY BUT INTO TOMORROW AS WELL. SO TEMPERATURES RUNNING SEASONABLY COOL HERE IN THE 70S. THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS A LITTLE CLOSER TO 80 DEGREES TOMORROW. BUT WITH THIS COOL AIR ALOFT, IT DOES GIVE US THE RISK OF AT LEAST A COUPLE OF ISOLATED SHOWERS POPPING UP IN THE AFTERNOONS THIS IS GOING TO KICK OUT FOR THE END OF THE WEEK, AND THE WARMTH IS GOING TO START BUILDING IN. SO WE ARE WARMING IT UP, BRINGING UP THE HUMIDITY. WE’RE TALKING ABOUT HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE 80S TO NEAR 90 HERE BY FRIDAY. AND THEN THAT HUMIDITY IS GOING TO DROP WAY OFF FOR THE WEEKEND. AND WHAT’S GOING TO BRING IN THAT DRIER AIR IS A FRONT THAT’S GOING TO TRIGGER SOME STORMS. ON FRIDAY. SO FRIDAY FEATURES THE HIGHEST CHANCE FOR RAIN. THIS WEEK. WE ARE LOOKING AT THE POTENTIAL OF SOME STRONGER THUNDERSTORMS UMMS LATE DAY FRIDAY INTO FRIDAY EVENING. IN THE MEANTIME THOUGH, TODAY WE’RE STARTING OUT PRETTY QUIET, BUT WITH THIS UPPER LEVEL LOW TO OUR NORTH. CAN’T RULE OUT JUST AN ISOLATED SHOWER OR TWO THIS AFTERNOON. OTHERWISE, BUILDING CLOUDS SO IT’S JUST PARTLY SUNNY MID DAY INTO THE AFTERNOON. LOOK AT THOSE TEMPERATURES STUCK RIGHT AROUND 70 IN BOSTON WITH THE SEA BREEZE ALONG THE COAST. SAME DEAL FROM THE NEW HAMPSHIRE SEACOAST ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE CAPE INLAND AREAS. DO A LITTLE BIT BETTER. MID 70S ON AVERAGE. JUST RUNNING A LITTLE COOLER THAN WE WERE YESTERDAY AS THE CLOUDS ARE GOING TO BE A LITTLE BIT MORE PREVALENT INTO THE AFTERNOON SHOWERS, THOUGH FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. THEY MAY ACTUALLY TRY TO SET UP ALONG THAT SEA BREEZE BOUNDARY THIS AFTERNOON, SO WE’LL WATCH FOR ANY SHOWER TO PRODUCE SOME BRIEF RAIN. NOT EXPECTING ANY THUNDERSTORMS WITH THESE THIS AFTERNOON AND THEY WILL BE HIT OR MISS. SO NOT EVERYONE SEES THEM, BUT YOU CAN SEE INTO THE EVENING HOURS ESPECIALLY UP THROUGH THE MERRIMACK VALLEY. THAT WILL BE YOUR BEST CHANCE OF SEEING ONE. THEY WILL DIMINISH QUICKLY AFTER SUNSET. SKIES GO PARTLY CLOUDY TONIGHT. ANOTHER NIGHT WHERE YOU DON’T NEED THE AC, YOU CAN JUST CRACK THE WINDOW OPEN IF YOU WANT TEMPERATURES IN THE 50S AND MOST OF THE SUBURBS TONIGHT, 60 DOWNTOWN AND HERE YOU GO TOMORROW 70S TO NEAR 80. SO WE’RE TICKING UP A LITTLE BIT TEMPERATURE WISE TOMORROW WITH MORE OF A SOUTHWESTERLY WIND. YOU’LL BE IN THE LOW 70S ON CAPE COD. IT WILL AVERAGE PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY, BUT ONCE AGAIN, WE’VE GOT THAT LOW RISK OF AN ISOLATED SHOWER POPPING UP IN THE AFTERNOON. FOCUS. TOMORROW MAY BE NORTH OF BOSTON, ESPECIALLY UP THROUGH THE NORTH SHORE. THE NEW HAMPSHIRE SEACOAST AND SOUTHERN MAINE. AS A LITTLE DISTURBANCE AROUND THAT UPPER LOW KIND OF ROTATES OUT LATE IN THE DAY. AND THEN WE’RE GOING TO WARM THINGS UP HERE THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. IT’S ALL ABOUT THOSE WARMER TEMPERATURES BUILDING ON IN. IN THE MEANTIME, WANT TO LET YOU KNOW WE’VE GOT SOME MORE TRACKING IN THE TROPICS. IT’S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I’VE SAID THAT IN THE EASTERN GULF OF MEXICO, THERE IS AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE THAT’S PRETTY DISORGANIZED, BUT IT’S GOING TO PRODUCE SOME SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THAT BRING HEAVY RAIN TO FLORIDA THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. AND THE HURRICANE CENTER IS WATCHING THIS ONCE IT CROSSES INTO THE WATERS OF THE SOUTH EASTON U.S. COAST NEXT WEEK HAS ABOUT A 20% CHANCE THAT IT COULD DEVELOP INTO SOMETHING TROPICAL AND MORE ORGANIZED. SO WE’LL BE WATCHING FOR THAT. IT IS HURRICANE SEASON NOW, THIS IS KIND OF THE LATEST START IN GETTING A NAME STORM THAT WE’VE HAD AROUND HERE IN CLOSE TO TEN YEARS. WE ARE JUNE 11TH. THE SEASON STARTED ON JUNE THE FIRST, AND IT PEAKS AS WE GO FROM AUGUST INTO SEPTEMBER. AND EVEN OCTOBER IS KIND OF A SECONDARY PEAK. SO A LONG WAY TO GO HERE WITH THE HURRICANE SEASON. FIRST NAME ON THE LIST THIS YEAR IS ALBERTO, SO WE’LL SEE IF WE GET ALBERTO TO DEVELOP HERE IN THE DAYS AHEAD. IN THE MEANTIME, WE’RE GOING TO WATCH THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY BUILD MID 80S ON THURSDAY, NEAR 90 ON FRIDAY, AND I MENTIONED THOSE THUNDERSTORMS ON FRIDAY. THEY’RE COMING IN WITH A COLD FRONT. SO LATE AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING HOURS. A FEW OF THESE COULD BE STRONG. COULD ALSO PRODUCE SOME HEAVIER RAINFALL. SO WATCHING FOR THAT POTENTIAL. BUT THAT FRONT KICKS OFF SHAUN FRIDAY NIGHT. LESS HUMID AIR BUILDS IN FOR YOUR WEEKEND. SUNSHINE LOW HUMIDITY, 70S TO NEAR 80 DEGREES. LOOKING PRET
