Rita’s character has been featured in numerous adaptations of Carroll’s Alice stories, though two of the most famous versions were from the 1951 animated Disney adaptation, Alice In Wonderland, which was voiced by Verna Felton.

The character was also brought to life by Helena Bonham Carter in her then-partner Tim Burton’s 2010 live-action version of Alice In Wonderland.

The new Descendants film features another musical star, Brandy, who is reprising her role from Disney’s TV musical adaptation of Cinderella, which aired on ABC in 1997.

Paolo Montalban, who played Prince Christopher in that version, is also returning to play a similar version of the character, King Charming.
