HGTV’s Jasmine Roth’s Design Advice For Creating A Cozy Bedroom

0 4

In an Instagram post of a primary bedroom that she designed, HGTV host Jasmine Roth shared a few of her favorite tips on how to create a cozy and aesthetically-pleasing sleeping sanctuary. Some of her tricks include adding plenty of mood lighting and hiding clutter, but they also involve incorporating a plush area rug. “Don’t forget the rugs!” she wrote in the caption. “Even if your bedroom has carpet floors, adding a rug can make it that much cozier!” The bedroom was much larger than your typical primary, featuring a sleeping area as well as a sitting room, and she added two soft rugs to the space. This not only helped break up the different sections of the room, but also injected an extra coziness factor.

You can copy this look in your own bedroom, even if you don’t have the same amount of square feet. Simply scale down the proportions to make it work. For instance, place a larger area rug underneath your bed, outlining that this is your sleeping zone. Then, add a smaller area rug in a different section of your room. For example, if you have a desk where you work, highlight it as a different “zone” with a coordinating rug. The same goes if you have a vanity, reading nook, or dressing area.
