Leslie went the extra mile to capture a thrilling mile race at the Merrimack Valley Conference championship meet in Brighton. The Billerica indoor track star finished in 4:22.72 to edge North Andover’s Ryan Connolly (4:22.93) and Lowell’s Jack Courtney (4:31.76).
Ronnie Jones
The Lowell High senior added to her outstanding indoor track season when she captured the shot put title at the Merrimack Valley Conference championship meet. Jones uncorked a throw of 43-0.5, which set a program record, meet record and facility record.
