A suspect on the Massachusetts State Police Most Wanted list for allegedly shooting a man to death in Brockton last year now faces new charges after allegedly seriously injuring someone after striking the woman’s car as he fled from police.

David K. Lynch, 24, whose last address known to State Police is Weymouth, has been wanted by police since Nov. 2 when Brockton Police responded to a shooting on West Park Street that left one man dead. The investigation alleges that the victim approached a vehicle Lynch was in, “a dispute occurred” and then Lynch shot him down.

On Thursday, police say they spotted him at the wheel of a BMW X1 SUV, in which there was another male passenger, in a Holiday Inn parking lot in Middleboro around 3 p.m. When local and state police moved in, they say he took flight and rammed their cars before making a getaway on Route 44.

State Police in a statement Thursday said that they pursued but then lost sight of the vehicle — but roughly 5 minutes later, police radio reported that a car matching the suspect’s had struck a Honda Accord in Raynham and that its female occupant had been seriously wounded.

Lynch and his passenger, Demarje Taylor, 23, of Chelsea, allegedly fled the scene on foot but were quickly apprehended.

Lynch, who already faces a murder charge in last year’s Brockton incident as well as five additional warrants out of courts in Plymouth, Dedham and Stoughton, faces new charges for Thursday’s incident. While the State Police said in a statement just before noon Friday that they are still finalizing the charges, they expect to level charges of firearms offenses, narcotics offenses, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, operating to endanger, failure to stop for police, and other motor vehicle offenses.

The passenger, Taylor, was charged at State Police barracks in Middleboro on gun possession charges and is being held at the Ashe Street Jail in New Bedford pending bail or arraignment.

The victim of Thursday’s crash is an unidentified 32-year-old woman from Taunton. She was first transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton before being transported later that evening to Boston Medical Center where the State Police says she’s listed in critical condition.

Taylor was treated at Good Samaritan before being charged. Lynch was first taken to Good Samaritan before also being transported to BMC where he was still under police guard as of a 9:08 a.m. Friday update by State Police.
