You do have some options for reducing the costs of the material in the HanStone countertop. One option is to select a thinner measurement in the slab. HanStone offers both 2 cm and 3 cm slabs(about 13/16 and about 1 3/16 inches, respectively). The thicker slab is going to cost roughly 30% more. If you want to give the impression that you used a thicker, more expensive slab, you could ask the fabricator to create a thicker measurement around the perimeter edges.
