Mollie Hemingway Reveals ‘Proof’ Of Democrats’ Coordination In Trump Prosecutions – State of the Union

Mollie Hemingway has alleged that former President Trump’s criminal trial in New York is part of a coordinated Democratic effort to target him through legal challenges.

She pointed to Matthew Colangelo leaving his high-ranking DOJ position to become a prosecutor in the New York case as evidence.

“Matthew Colangelo, who used to be the number three under Merrick Garland at the Department of Justice, left that cushy job to be a line prosecutor in a city office? That shows how coordinated this is,” Hemingway said. “This is part of a widespread and coordinated effort.”

Colangelo’s move is seen by Hemingway and others as linked to ongoing cases against Trump.

The trial has begun with opening statements and testimony from its first witness.

“With current law restricting the broadcasting of trial proceedings and courtroom space for public spectators very limited, the release of the daily transcripts on the court system’s website is the best way to provide the public a direct view of the proceedings in this historic trial,” Chief Administrative Judge Joseph Zayas said.

“This measure is in the interest of the public good and aligns with the court system’s commitment to judicial transparency and its ongoing efforts to enhance public access to, and understanding of, the courts and justice system.”

New York courts will release daily transcripts of the proceedings to increase transparency, as public access to the courtroom is limited.

Trump faces 34 felony counts related to payments made to Stormy Daniels during the 2016 campaign.

Supporters argue the charges are aimed at discrediting Trump ahead of the 2024 election.

As the politically charged trial continues, it is generating substantial media coverage and debate over its partisan implications.
