Get ready for a taste of Mexico in the heart of Harvard Square. Taqueria El Barrio will be taking over the One Reason Garden Bar, The Charles Hotel’s courtyard bar for a season-long pop-up so you can have your fill of Sonoran flavors all summer.
With locations at Time Out Market in Boston and Portico Brewing in Somerville, the beloved, family-run taqueria from restaurateurs Servio Garcia and Alex Saenz will be serving a curated menu of their greatest hits from May ’til September. Expect pollo, birria, carnitas and veggie tacos on their signature homemade ‘Mi Tierra’ corn tortillas; the infamous ‘Torta Del Dia’, a loaded Mexican sandwich on toasted Telera Bread; chips & dips; and sliced watermelon with tajin and lime. To complement the eats, One Reason Garden Bar’s mixologists will be crafting a special Whiskey Smash alongside a selection of wines and beers from local breweries like Trillium and Bissell Brothers.
Whether you’re catching up with friends after work or enjoying a sunny weekend afternoon, One Reason Garden Bar offers the perfect place to soak up the vibrant atmosphere of Harvard Square (there’ll be live music and lawn games). The bar is open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-9:00pm and Fridays and Sundays from 12:00-9:00pm.
